Doubles on giant trevally + permit
Buddy-boat trip. Two captains, two boats, four anglers each. We split up at the dock, each ran our own route, met at the spot.
Got into a school of giant trevally working bait at the surface. Topwater poppers, easy hookups, brutal fights. Two doubles within the first 30 minutes.
Released most, kept one for the table. Best part was the crew. These guys came down from Chicago for a bachelor weekend and brought the energy.
